Observations were made of the bird life in the vicinity of the Pampa Galeras Nacional Vicuña Reserve, at an altitude of 4000 meters and above, in the Department of Ayacuchoo, Peru, Altogether, 91 species of 32 families were recorded, including resident, migratory, and occasional birds. Abundance, frequency of sighting, and habitats of the species are noted.
